Studies have shown that there are many animals on this planet that have attained the status of getting endangered. Animals need to be saved from the lurking danger surrounding them in their natural habitat. The lives of these rare and unique creatures can be saved if only they are preserved. Before certain species get extinct from the world, an animal activist and lover, Doc Antle took the responsibility to conserve and care for some of them. TIGERS Preservation Center is one such station that aims in preserving animals.

Similar to other preservation centres, TIGERS, too is globally popular for conserving specific mammals, which are rarely found like, cheetahs, Bengal and Siberian tigers, chimpanzees, African elephant, African fish eagle and more. The main highlight that this station holds is that it has conserved a hybrid of a lion and a tigress called liger. This powerful animal is known for its weight and size, and is known to hold a Guinness World Record.

How did Doc attain this stature?

Bhagavan Antle, the founder and director of this centre credits his love for animals to/for/because of his upbringing in Arizona. When he was young, he began caring for animals. After attaining a certain age, he received the opportunity to explore the world. He spent a significant time in Asia and got his degree in medicine. Having travelled to different parts of the globe and promoting the research and conservation of endangered species, today, he became widely popular as an animal trainer.
He gave his full dedication in saving the lives of wild, and this led him to find his preservation unit known as TIGERS in the year 1983. This centre promotes conservation education globally through its interactive and entertaining sessions. Furthermore, he uses the animal ambassador programs, which assist the visitors to reconnect with nature. The importance of wildlife and how precious the lives of animals are overtly promoted by Doc Antle.

Since the inception of the conservation station, this base has raised and trained almost four hundred big cats and has earned the name of the premier wildlife centre in the world. The Rare Species Fund (RSF), established in 1983, bestows monetary support, as well as, practical training to conserve wildlife. For his in-depth knowledge and hands-on training with animals, Doc is frequently contacted and asked to appear on screen like, BBC, CNN, National Geographic Channel and Discovery Channel.

Bhagavan Antle does not only care for his animals but also train them. Only a handful of people are animal enthusiasts who are concerned towards saving the life of the endangered species. And, among them, Doc has emerged as one of the core animal lovers who has directed his entire life towards protecting the wild. He along with his team protect the mighty beasts and train them so that it becomes easy for the tourists to interact with them.
